Ok so my tentative topic is the JFK assassination. Im alittle lost on what the question would be but I think its a cool topic that id like to know more about. I also think Im probably not the only one that is very curious about the worlds most famous conspiracy theory

I think you could definitely make this topic work for the assignment--you might start by researching the different conspiracy theories out there and then ask a question like, "Why did this historic event generate so many conspiracy theories?" or "Why is the public still captured by the question 'who killed JFK?" You'll want to avoid simply listing the various conspiracy theories that have developed in response to this event, so asking a more general "why" question will help guide your research. In fact, you might simply ask, "which of the theories are the most compelling to me?"
Don't be afraid to put yourself in the essay--you might include an explanation of why this topic interests you, or share your memory of the first time you learned about the JFK assasination.
